Boston Children's Hospital is Hiring a Pharmacy Courier Near Boston, MA
Delivers patient medication orders as directed by a registered pharmacist. Sorts and transports medications throughout the hospital complex/nursing units following established protocols and techniques.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Delivers individual medications to nursing units and collects new medication orders PRN bags according to established procedures and schedules.
- Maintains professional interactions with Nursing and Pharmacy Management staff.
- Handles medications in accordance with established confidentiality policies, procedures and standards. Keeps work area neat and orderly and free of fire and safety hazards.
- Analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine. Ability to understand and respond to written or verbal instructions.
- Incumbents must respond appropriately to instructions, questions or requests for information.
- Work occasionally requires contact with patients and/or visitors which involve courtesy.
- High School / GED
- Pharmacy Technician experience may be helpful
